ABSTRACT
Lemna gibbba L. and Lemna minör L. (Lemnaecae) are small aquatic herbs which may be freeswimming, floating ör submerged. They are oftenforms a green carped över stagnant water. They are found infresh water ali över the world. Morphological, ecological and phsiological features of Lemna minör and Lemna gibba were investigated in this study. Measurements and drowings were done from different parts of Lemna minör and Lemna gibba. Amount oftotal chloropyll (Chl a+b_ and protein of Lemna gibba and Lemna minör were measured so.

ABSTRACT
In present paper the concentrations of primaryelements ofthe water samples and suspended material, collected monthly fromPeri River in the year 1993, are investigated. The resuits show that Peri River has a basic water with a pH value of 8.15, a proportional effectınd a significant positive correlation, as afunction of rosion, between dischargeand suspended material concentration exist. Theprimary elements Ca, Mg, Na, K and Zn are concentrated in water as well as in suspended material, Fe, Mn, Cu and P are concentrated only in suspended material. Although, interelements relations in water is not determined exactly, apparently a significant positive correlation between many element pairs in suspended material, like Ca-K, Ca-Zn and Fe Mn, are present. The waters of Peri River give not any indication ofenviromental ınfluencesand on the basis ofit's chemical composition, it resembles to Mississippi River.

ABSTRACT
It is inevitable formation of new settlement areas besides demographical increase in urbanization action. Yenişehir District (3 rd ncontrolled Housing Prevention Area) of Erzurum, its development planning was completed and approved in year 1977,forms a settelement of 60.000 inthabitants on an area of 383 ha. between 1980-2000 m. Altitude After being completed the application planning and infra-structure works, from 1981 onwards, the housing co-operatives started to build their buildings immediately, and they stili continue on. Unforunately the suggested green areas in the plannig have not been realized at the same speed. These requirements of the district's people have to be realized according to environmental and landspace planning principles without any delay. in this way more ealthy urban space units with beautiful appearance can be provided.

ABSTRACT
As a lignocellulosic wastes, waste tea leaves (WTL) of tea factories reaches to amonut of 7-8.000 ton a year. in this study, composting ofthese vvastes wereevaluated. CACO3, cattle manure, triple süper phosphate (TSP), and ammonium sulphate (AS) were used as additives. Composting time was found betvveen 14-23 weeks in soil pits. Results indicated that WTl composts were not affected the seed properties of Brutia pine expectedly, where as acacia seeds were possitively affected at a desirable diameter of root neck, 196. 0- 289.7 % in dry weight of root, 230.3-378.6 % in dry weight of stem andfinally 220.3-329.1 in dry vveight of whole seed.
