ABSTRACT
Noise conirol can be done in two ways: acüve and passive control. in passive control meîhod, the noise should be insulated at the source ör the environmenî should be isolated from the noise in ör der to prevent the undesirdble effect of noise. When this conventional method is less effecüve, noise should be controlled by using active control method. The active noise cancellation method his already known since 1930's, but the method is in usefor 20 years as a result of the technological achivements. in this method, an anünoise signal having the same frequency and amplitude but in different phase is generated elecîronicaily to balance pressure difference. in this sîudy, afler the introduction of active noise control, some examp!es of the applications of this echnique ar e given.
