[Abstract]
ABSTRACT
This paper suggests to collect seperately domestic wastes in urban areas. The idea of "do not polluîe" rather than "pollute clean" is based on this, study. Therefore, it was suggested that vvastes to be collected in manupulancy should be classified. it is concluded that cleaning and economical evaluation of wastes are possible in this way. Additionaly, a rubbish box with five porsions for five types of rubbish has been suggested to small and middle size manupulancies.

ABSTRACT
In this study it has been found that the grasshoppers which have made epidemi since 1990 on the plateau of Şenkaya (Erzurum) are Poecilimon tauricola Ramme and Psorodonatus caucasicus (F.-W.) The first one comprises 80% of the population vvhereas the second one 20%, and both of the species are very destructive to vegetation.

ABSTRACT
The biosorption is öne of the most important methods in the removal of heavy metals from the wastewaters. The potential of copper ions removal by biosorption frow low concentration level was examined using immobilised and free dead Rhizopus arrhizus. . The saturation uptake capacity of immobilised dead cells was found to be 65-93.8 mg Cu +2/g dry weight for synthetic solution compared to 23.4 mg Cu +2/g dry weight for a real effluent. The saturation uptake capacity of freely suspended dead cells was also found to be 100-172 mg Cu +2/g dry weight for a real effluent. The results have shown that immobilised dead biomass can successfully remove copper from aqueous solution.

Reasons of this state are; destroying of their habitats, using of chemicals in the agricultural areas, urbanisation, and grazing of sheeps and goats excessively in pastures.
