ABSTRACT
In this study, behavior of Capparis ovata naturally distributed along Artvin-Çoruh watershed on the road slopes has been examined. No correlation exists between the plant cover and slope of the habitat. The species is mostly distributed on south slopes and occupy less area on north slopes. Capparis ovata has been observed more up to 280 m altitude, and less on 100% slope on the road fillslope. While in areas of low altitude with sunny exposures it has the highest coverage in percent.

Yenice and Dirgine Forest Enterprises in Zonguldak Regional Forest Director which one of the most influenced area from flood have been chosen as the study areas. In these regions, effectives of flood disaster have been investigated respect of technical, ecological and economical. According to findings forest roads, following the streams and passing north side, have not been planned respect of the most high amount of water in the basin. It has been understood that there was much damage on water constructions and a lot of products were damaged from water of flood, because landings were constructed on the bank of steam. Furthermore, much defects have been established on harvesting and transportation because of closed forest roads. Total losses of forest roads and transportation has been found as 1 331 879 $. 68% of it for damage of forest roads, the remaining of it for damage of forest transportation.

ABSTRACT
In this work, the quantity of radioactivity (radium), which flows into the Aegean Sea, was tried to calculate monthly and yearly. For that reason, water samples were collected from the station near the sea on the river. pH, Eh, temperature and radium activities of the collected samples were measured and their values were found as 7.88, -52 mV, 19ºC and 6.70 pCi/l, respectively.

ABSTRACT
This investigation includes the birds observed between 28 January 1998-19 May 2000 in Yamansaz Lake. During two years, 161 bird species belonging to 51 families were recorded. Finally, recordence date, status (resident, migrant, etc.), population size of species and their endangering categories according to Red Data Book are given. On the other hand, as a result of our survey, 4 amphibian and 19 reptilian species are determined. The most important enviromental factors adversely effecting amphibians, reptiles and birds in this region are reed burning, illegal hunting and building activities.
