ABSTRACT
In order to make a study about reproduction and development biology of Bufo viridis, which is one of the Anurean species having the most wide geographic distribution in Turkey, observations have been made for three years. In reproduction season, starting from the laying activity and egg properties, macroscobic changes of developing embryo have been observed. After that metamorphosis phases in the larval period have been investigated by taking some morphological measures. Some of the morphological measures and observations are the first pieces of information for Bufo viridis living in this region. This study therfore, carries importance for the comparative studies which will be carried out in different regious in the future.

ABSTRACT
The contaminants in the waste water should be removed in order to protect the environment. This process is considerably done by waste water treatment plants. In this study, the waste water treatment plant of Muğla University is examined and bacteriological (total coliform, faecal coliform and faecal streptococ), protozoological (protozoa, helminth, algae, and fungus), and physico-chemical (nitrite, nitrate, phosphate, pH, dissolved oxygen, temperature and BOD5) analysis were done and the obtained results have been evaluated.

ABSTRACT
In this study, the amphibian and reptilian species which are distributed on the vicinity of Yamanlar Mountain and Karagöl were determined, also absent information on the herpetofauna of this region was tried to completed. When the list of species were given, the ecological information which belong to these species were also given. A total of 151 specimens which belong to 24 species have been collected from this region. Two of the investigated species are tailed amphibians, two are tailless amphibians, one is tortoise, two are turtles, nine are lizards and eight are snakes.

ABSTRACT
In this study, measurements of pH, sulphate and conductivity values in the rain water at every 24 hours in the city center of Sivas have been aimed. Only one of the rain samples was collected at approximately 7 km far from the city center. It has been observed that pH values were about neutral and it has been determined that all sulphate and conductivity values were lower than expected. These values were found as 5,50-7,67; 0,53-6,03 mg/l; 0,01-0,17 mS as the minimum and maximum respectively. The measurements had shown that the rain waters were not acidic during the research period in Sivas. In addition, the relationships between the pH values, sulphate and conductivity have been investigated by using a lineer regression analysis. By the examination of the equation and coefficients, it has been determined that relationships between the pH and sulphate were weak and the relationship between the pH and conductivity were strong.

ABSTRACT
In this study, tobacco waste, rice straw, vetch, poultry manure and shlempe were applied on two different soils as 0%, 2.5%, 5.0% and 7.5% of soil mass. After incubating at 25±2ºC for 3 months, the effects of wastes on urease enzyme activity of soils were determined. According to the results obtained from this study; urease enzyme activity of soils were increased significantly by applying tobacco waste, rice straw, vetch and poultry manure. Application of shlempe did not have a significant effect on urease enzyme activity of soils. Increment in urease enzyme activity of soils by applying organic matter was found as follows; Tobacco waste > Poultry manure > Vetch > Rice straw > Shlempe.

ABSTRACT
In this study, blood serum samples taken from fifty people who work in greenhouses and offices (control group) in Icel have been analyzed for residues of Cu, Zn, Pb, Mn contained by commonly used fungicides of mancozeb, maneb, propineb, fosetyl-Al, copper oxide, mancopper, oxine-copper, zinc phosphide, zineb and ziram. The relationship between the results of the analysis and commonly used fungicides has been determined. In the analysis, Cu and Zn have been determined by AAS-flame method, and Pb and Mn have been determined by AAS-HGA method. The result of the analysis showed that the values are as follows: Cu= 1.01-4.60 ppm, Zn=0.200-2.922 ppm, Pb= 0.06-0.08 ppm, and Mn=0.03- 0.06 ppm.
